 Allie still sat on the bed clad in black from head to toe, being sure that none of her scarred skin would be visible.  She sighed softly and crossed her legs Indian style and leaned back on the headboard.  She was alone in the dark. James walked into the bedroom and looked at her sympathetically. This was the lowest he had ever seen Allie.  He slowly stepped toward the bed, where she still sat frozen, staring forward at nothing.
